Powernsun, partnered with industry giants Longi and Sungrow to participate in a remarkable mangrove planting event held in Abu Dhabi. The event took place on June 20 and was organized as part of the UAE’s strategic initiative, “Today for Tomorrow: National Day Mangrove Project.” Together, the companies planted mangroves at Yas Beach, Abu Dhabi, showcasing their commitment to preserving coastal ecosystems and achieving net-zero emissions by 2050.

The initiative aims to plant 100 million mangroves in the UAE, which is projected to expand local forest cover by an impressive 483 square kilometers. This substantial effort will annually capture an estimated 43,000 tonnes of carbon dioxide, reinforcing the collective fight against climate change. Powernsun firmly believes in the importance of collaboration between non-governmental organizations and the private sector to ensure the sustainability of mangrove forests.
