JA 625W Bifacial Panel (JAM66D45-625/LB)
JA 625W Bifacial Panel (model JAM66D45-625/LB) is an n-type, double glass bifacial solar panel from JA Solar’s DeepBlue 4.0 Pro range. It delivers 625W at standard test conditions (STC, the lab benchmark of 1000W/m² sunlight at 25°C cell temperature) with 23.1% module efficiency. With rear-side gain it reaches up to 675W. It measures 2382 × 1134 × 30mm, weighs 33.1kg and has a 12-year product warranty and a 30-year linear power warranty. The full JA 625W datasheet is below, with the PDF available to download.

What Makes the JA 625W Different
- n-type cells with very low LID: n-type cells use a different silicon doping to the older p-type standard. The practical benefit is very low light induced degradation (LID, the power loss a panel suffers in its first hours of sunlight) and a slower loss of output over time.
- Up to 26% cell efficiency: JA Solar’s Bycium+ cells reach up to 26% cell conversion efficiency. Module efficiency, which is what matters for your roof or site area, is 23.1%.
- Better heat performance: A temperature coefficient of -0.290%/°C means the panel loses 0.29% of its power for every degree above 25°C cell temperature. On a hot South African day, when cells can run 30°C or more above that, this is a meaningful advantage over panels rated around -0.35%/°C.
- Bifacial double glass: Both faces are 2.0mm glass, and the rear captures light reflected off the ground or roof surface. Bifaciality of 80% means the rear side converts light at roughly 80% of the front side’s rate.
- 16 busbar half-cell design: More busbars (the thin conductors that carry current across the cell) and half-cut cells reduce electrical losses and limit the impact of partial shading or microcracks.
- Better low light response: The panel keeps producing useful power in early morning, late afternoon and overcast conditions.
Is the JA 625W Right for Your Project?
Our position is clear: the JA 625W earns its value where the rear side can actually see reflected light. That makes it a strong choice for:
- Ground-mounted systems on farms, commercial sites and solar parks, especially over light coloured gravel or dry grass.
- Carports and elevated structures, where there is open space beneath the panel.
- Commercial and industrial flat roofs using tilted racking over a light or reflective membrane.
- Tracker installations, including Nextracker (confirm load compatibility with JA Solar’s approval letter first).
For flush-mounted residential roofs, the rear side sees very little light, so most of the bifacial gain is lost. The panel is also large (2.38m long) and heavy (33.1kg), which limits layout options on smaller roofs and needs a structural check. For most home installations, a smaller single glass panel will usually be the more practical choice.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is the efficiency of the JA 625W solar panel?
The JA 625W (JAM66D45-625/LB) has a module efficiency of 23.1%, with cell efficiency up to 26%.
Is the JA Solar 625W panel bifacial?
Yes. It is an n-type double glass bifacial module with 80% ±5% bifaciality. At a 10% rear irradiance ratio, output rises to 675W.
What are the dimensions and weight of the JA 625W?
2382 × 1134 × 30mm and 33.1kg.
How many JA 625W panels can I put in one string?
It depends on your inverter’s maximum DC voltage and your site’s coldest temperature. At -5°C, a 1000V inverter takes up to 19 panels and a 1500V inverter up to 28. Always confirm with your installer.
